Have a Glorious, Glamorous Work Day

By

Try these tricks to bring a little kick to an otherwise average, boring day.

We all find ourselves in a rut once in awhile. We start letting ourselves slouch, we might gain a pound or two, and we feel dull, lifeless. Well snap out of it by having an absolutely fierce and fabulous day. Follow these tips to get a little glamor now.

Drink Sparkling Water from a Champagne Glass

Start your day with a little bubbly, or refresh yourself at lunch.

Get yourself some chilled flavored bubbly (non-alcoholic unless you are going for drunk glam). Besides, you can't drink on the job.

Pour it into a champagne glass and enjoy.

Wear high maintenance shoes

Don't wear shoes that are good for walking, wear shoes that are good for looking. Keep yourself swooned with every glance of your feet.

It may not be the most comfortable day, but we've all got to suffer a little bit from time to time and it's worth it. If you must, take off your shoes under your desk.

Get a pedicure and manicure

There is nothing that will make you feel more glamorous than getting your fingernails and toes done. Schedule your appointment early in the day so you can flaunt your fabulous paint all day long. Go for something bold - a bright color or pattern that will demand attention and keep you energized.

Darken your Eye Makeup

Pile on enough charcoal and smoky eye shadow to make your eyes stand out of your shadow, even during the day. This will add a little drama to your look and when you happen to catch your reflection in the mirror, you'll be reminded that you are smoldering. Go ahead and go for dark.

Channel an Era

Take on a themed outfit to step your fierceness up a level. Go for something frilly and lacy to channel Victorian England. Or stick with something 20th century. Remember the roaring twenties, the nifty fifties, the bell bottoms of the sixties, the glamour of the seventies, the punk of the eighties, and the grunge of the nineties. Whatever era was your heyday, or whatever era you wish it was, flaunt it.

Take a Fashion Risk

These risks don't always pay off, but when they do, they pay off in a big way. If you are trying out a new piece or a combination and you think you could become uncomfortable at some point, bring a change of clothes along just in case. However, wear your ensemble proudly, with enough confidence you can look good in anything.

Wear some bling

Put on your most expensive piece of jewelry. Accessorize with a gaudy rig or chunky necklace which may seem over the top. The only accessory item that may be taking it too far at work is a tiara. So slap some bling on your wrist, pin a shiny piece in your hair, double up your chains, or wear an old piece in a new way.
